Adam has been attending classes at Scream Theatre Schools, since he was first spotted by their talent agency, aged six.

Since then, he has gone to appear in the West End as Mike Teavee in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

It was his agent at Scream Management, Jessica Bell, that gave him the call. He said “I couldn’t believe it. I was so happy.”

Dawn Mitchell, his mum, added: “I am super proud of Adam. When I saw his name credited on the soundtrack on iTunes I cried.

“I have been constantly playing the song on Youtube, it is just magic and breath taking.

His dad, Tony, a Year Four teacher at Christ the King Catholic Academy has made sure all of his pupils know how proud he is.

He said: “I have told everyone I know - even my Year Four class, who are getting sick of me playing the song!

“I am so proud of him and it’s another massive string for his bow.

“It was a big moment for me to watch him on the West End in Willy Wonka - that was a childhood favourite of mine and his. But I have to confess I have never watched Beauty and the Beast, so watching it for the first time, knowing Adam plays a part in it is amazing.

“I have been listening to the song constantly and still have to pinch myself that it is my Adam that is singing - on a Disney feature film soundtrack. His name sitting proudly next to Emma Watson and Ewan McGregor is unimaginable.”

Adam Mitchell appears on the Beauty and the Beast Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, which is available on iTunes. He will also be doing a meet and greet at Blackpool Odeon from 6pm today.
