THE uplifting music of Handel and Mozart can be heard in the wonderfully apt setting of St Peter’s Church in Fleetwood this Saturday.

Fleetwood and District Choral Society are performing Handel’s Four Coronation Anthems and Mozart’s Mass in C.

Appearing with the local choir will be the Sinfonia NorthWest String Quartet, with conductor Alistair MacKenzie.

The choral ensemble usually perform their summer concerts at the Marine Hall, but, on this occasion, they needed an organ and wanted to make use of the church’s wonderful instrument.

The organist on this occasion is Edward Rugman.

Also performing with the choir are soprano Rebecca Lea, alto Anna Harvey, tenor William Petter and bass Jonathan Ainscough.

The concert begins at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £10 and are available from choir members or on the door on the night.
