A popular chippy is hoping to land an award after making the finals of a national competition.
Richardson’s Fish Bar, in Fleetwood, has made the cut for the 2014 National Fish and Chip Awards.
The chippy is up for this year’s Good Catch Award, which recognises businesses that have made an effort to source their produce responsibly and sustainably.
Chris Richardson, owner of Richardson’s Fish Bar said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted, especially as this was our first year entering for the Good Catch Award.
“It’s a testament to our hard work and intention to ensure the world’s oceans are teeming with life, and seafood supplies are safeguarded for this generation and many more.”
Finalists – who include chippies from Plymouth, Dartmouth and Brae – will be invited to the awards ceremony, due to be held in London in January.
