Thornton woman makes court appearance after stabbing

A Thornton woman has been charged with attempted murder.
Linda Wrigley, 56, of Ascot Road, Thornton, was due to appear before Wyre Magistrates later on Saturday following the stabbing of an 80-year-old-man.
Police were called to a house in Ascot Road on Thursday after reports an elderly man had been stabbed.
He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where he underwent surgery for wounds to his chest and stomach.
His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
