CROWDS gathered on Saturday to watch the official opening of Cleveleys People's Promenade.

Mayor of Wyre Coun Keith Riley unveiled a ceremonial plaque and cut the ribbon to hand over the new £20m development to the people of the town.
The ceremony was followed by a spectacular day of entertainment with comedian Frank Carson and Emmerdale star, Kesley-Beth Crossley among the celebrities attending.
The works, the third phase of a four step development to create new sea defences on the town's shoreline, have been hailed as a vital boost to local tourist industry.
