A MAN charged with the murder of 26-year-old father, David Winning, has made his first appearance at court.

Anthony Hampson, 20, was flanked in the dock at Blackpool Magistrates Court by three security guards, spoke only to confirm his name and age and to say he understood the charge against him.
Claire Hilton, prosecuting, asked for the case to go direct to crown court.
Steven Townley, defending, did not ask for bail for his client.
Blackpool magistrates sent the case direct to Preston Crown Court.
Hampson, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody to appear at the higher court on May 28.
Mr Winning, aged 26, of Cleveleys, died at a house in Hawthorn Road in North Shore from a single stab wound to his chest.
