A MOTORIST trapped by his legs following an horrific car accident had a miraculous escape.
The man, who has not been named by police, was trapped in his vehicle after the smash on Saturday at 10.10pm on Normoss Road, Normoss.

His legs were caught in his Renault Scenic and he had to be cut free by firefighters.

At first, it was thought his legs were broken.

But after he was released, police said the motorist was in "good spirits" and had not suffered any serious injury.

He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital as a precaution.

Two other people were injured in the accident.

However, their injuries were not thought to be serious.
