Children's author visits Thornton

A WELL known children's author visited Thornton Library this week.

Joe Craig, who wrote the immensley popular adventure books Jimmy Coates books.
He spoke to nearly 200 school children about his books, enthralling his young audience with tales and stories about his work.
As a follow-up to Joe's visit, the library is running a forensic workshop this Saturday from 10.30am to noon.
The workshop is being run in partnership with the police and will look at DNA, fingerprinting and other crime tackling skills.
Tickets are free.
