Adam Etches destroyed Brazilian contender Samir Santos Barbosa in a three-round master class last night. And Kid Galahad schooled Adeilson Dos Santos over 12 rounds.

But there was heartbreak for the previously unbeaten Scott Jenkins and Sam O’maison, both of whom were KO’d.

Brave Dos Santos was a late replacement and despite being knocked down twice went the distance.

But Galahad was a blur of speed and accuracy throughout.

And while he couldn’t find the stoppage punch the crowd at Ponds Forge craved, he monopolised every round.

It was a landslide win on points for the Sheffield Ingle man.

And he was quick to call out Carl Frampton afterwards.

Etches finished his match against another Brazilian quickly.

After catching Barbosa with a left he sent his experienced opponent to the canvas with a sweeping right, in two minutes 14 seconds of the round.

Barbosa complained to referee Howard Foster, who had swiftly waved the contest off.

But the South American had managed little to suggest he could threaten the Dronfield middleweight.

He’d connected a couple of times with Etches, but his successful punches were in the minority.

Etches moved to 17 straight wins and collared the vacant IBF International middleweight title.

Rotherham’s Atif Shafiq stopped his opponent Michael Stupart in a first round barrage, too, to further his reputation.
