Fleetwood Town midfielder Antoni Sarcevic has been named the Sky Bet League Two player of the month for September.
The 21-year-old, a summer capture from non-league Chester FC, was nominated alongside Etienne Esajas of Scunthorpe, Alan Marriott of Mansfield and Dagenham’s Abu Ogogo.
But his three goals, including a 20-yard screamer against Bury, helped the Town man seal the prize.
Boss Graham Alexander said: “He’s had a fantastic start to the season.
“Since he came through the door he’s been really positive and it’s thoroughly deserved.
“He’s ably supported by the players around him who allow him to play the way he enjoys, the attacking side of the game.
“His application and work rate in training shows in the games. You have to be a good player week in week out, that’s what we’re doing and we’re really chuffed for him.”
