Steven Pressley is to be unveiled as the new manager of Fleetwood Town, The Gazette understands.
The 41-year-old former Scottish international emerged last night as the frontrunner for the job after a day of interviews conducted by chairman Andy Pilley.
He will replace former Scotland team-mate Graham Alexander who was sacked six days ago.
Pressley, who was sacked by Coventry City in February, is expected to be named at press conference this afternoon.
The former centre half recently ruled himself out of the running for the vacant Dundee United manager’s job.
