FLEETWOOD left-back Junior Brown faces several months on the sidelines with a knee ligament injury.

Brown damaged medial ligaments just 12 minutes into last Tuesday’s friendly against Preston North.

The luckless 22-year-old suffered the same injury, also on his right knee, last season.

Town’s eight summer signings include the former Seasiders left-back Paul Edwards.

Fleetwood have added a further pre-season friendly against the Latvian side FK Jalgava a week tomorrow, July 26 (7.30pm).

The Highbury fixture takes place 48 hours befrore first division Jalgava’s Bloomfield Road encounter with Blackpool, who have developed strong links with Latvia through club president Valery Belokon.

Admission to the Highbury match is just £2, with all concessions priced £1. Town will also fulfil a scheduled match at Northwich Victoria on the same evening.

After Town’s home match against York City was brought forward to Friday August 26 for TV, two more of Fleetwood’s Blue Square Bet Premier fixtrues have been selected for live screening on the Premier Sports subscription channel.

Town’s visit to Lincoln City has also moved forward to Friday night (October 14, 7.45pm), while the home game against Stockport on November 19 will now kick-off at 5.15pm.
