Full Time: Wycombe Wanderers 1 Fleetwood Town 0
Fleetwood Town FC v Cheltenham FC. Fleetwood celebrate Junior Brown's goal.
Anthony Stewart’s header in the last minute of normal time dealt Fleetwood Town’s playoff hopes another massive blow.
Gareth Evans, Junior Brown and David Ball all went close in the first half at Adams Park, the home side’s best chance a shot from player-boss Garethn Ainsworth, turned around the post by stand in skipper Scott Davies.
But the home side grew in confidence as the second half progressed, putting Graham lexander’s men under increasing pressure.
Jon Parkin kept Fleetwood in it, clearing off the line from Dave Winfield.
But, with a minute remaining, Town caved, Josh Scowen’s corner nodded home at the back post by Stewart.
Jon Parkin’s diving header almost earned a point at the death but the final whistle consigned Fleetwood to a third defeat in four games.
