A SUPERB strike from Gareth Evans saw Fleetwood Town return to winning ways.
It wasn’t an easy start for Fleetwood.
Shaun Beeley was judged to have handled inside the box after just three minutes, Medy Elito putting Daggers ahead from the spot.
But Town were level minutes later, Junior Brown’s cross slipping in at the back post, possibly thanks to a handy deflection.
Jamille Matt, finally showing his strength and pace, should have put Town ahead, driving past Femi Ilesanmi, Chris Lewington denying him a deserved goal.
Town did get the ball in the back of the net before the half was over, referee Andy Haines pulling play back, as Jamie McGuire tapped home, to award Fleetwood a nonsensical free kick.
After the break Town did grab the lead, Evans cutting inside from the left channel, an excellent finish low past Lewington handing Fleetwood the advantage.
From there the home side took their foot off the pedal but held on to secure three vital points.
