Fleetwood Town have signed Preston North End striker Iain Hume on loan until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old Canadian international will join his former Deepdale team-mate Graham Alexander, who is now manager at Highbury.
Hume will provide additional firepower for Town, who have suffered continual injury setbacks up front.
David Ball is still recovering from an ankle injury while Jamille Matt has only just returned from a long-term lay off.
Hume signed for the Lilywhites back in 2010 from Barnsley and quickly established himself as a fans’ favourite.
He has played 80 times for Preston, scoring 24 goals, his last being the match winner against Notts County in October.
Alexander said:“He is a constant menace for the opposition defence to deal with and he is a team player. He is hungry for success and he is motivated.
“He is a very experienced player and he has scored goals all the way through his career.”
