JUNIOR Brown came off the bench to rescue a vital point for Fleetwood Town
His bullet header, 20 minutes from time cancelled out Marlon Pack’s 20 yard first half strike as Fleetwood avoided a third straight defeat.
The home side struggled in the opening 45 minutes and fell behind midway throuh the half when Pack struck a low shot past Davies to claim his fourth goal in as many games.
The visitors almost extended their lead before the break, Scott Davies on top form to deny Jason Taylor.
Two substitutions changed Fleetwood’s fortunes, Jon Parkin adding quality and an extra physical presence up front, Junior Brown bringing much needed width.
And it was Brown who grabbed the crucial equaliser - heading home from a Ryan Crowther corner.
Davies pulled off two superb saves to keep the scores level, first to deny Pack, then a fine reflex save from Paul Benson’s point blank effort.
Boss Graham Alexander was happy with a point.
He said: We’re happy with a point.
“Over the 90 minutes I thought Cheltenham were a very good team.
“They put us under a lot of pressure and played some very good football.
“They made it very hard for us.
“First half I think we struggled.
“But slowly and surely we got ourselves back into the game.”
