A POULTON bar's plan to extend opening hours has met with opposition from residents
Paul Mellor, owner of The Cube on Breck Road, has applied to Wyre Council to extend opening times from midnight to 1am on Thursdays and Sundays.

He also wants extended hours on the Thursday before a Bank Holiday weekend from midnight to 2am.

He has also requested an extra 30 minutes drinking up time on Bank Holidays.

One resident, on Vicarage Lane, said: "Thursday and Sundays are quieter nights in Poulton when local residents can sleep without being disturbed by patrons leaving late night premises such as The Cube."
