DRINKERS who have had one too many will be given the red card in pubs across Wyre.

Landlords at 200 establishments will be issuing the special refusal cards to customers who they feel are too drunk to be served.
The cards not only explain to the customer why they have been refused service but also give guidance on the safe limits for drinking.
In addition each pub will be supplied with special ID sevice refusal cards, which will be presented to young drinkers who are not able to provide proper identification when attempted to be served.
The initiative has been organised by Wyre Community Safety Partnership in conjunction with Pubwatch and the National Health Service.
Chairman of Poulton Pubwatch scheme Councillor Cocker said: "This initiative will give important assistance to pubs across the borough in dealing with drunk or under age customers in their premises - the cards are designed to diffuse potential conflict situations by providing straightforward guidance and advice to customers on why they have been refused service.
"We also hope the cards will send out some important messages regarding the need to drink responsibly and to know your own limits with alcohol."
