TRAVELLERS who have set up camp in Poulton are being taken back to court.
Fylde Council has vowed to take a hard line with the rule breaking group of more than 70 travellers who moved on to the site off Fairfield Road after buying the land in November.

They have since applied for planning permission to stay.

But in January, Fylde Council slapped an injunction on the site, banning additional caravans and building materials being taken on to the land until the matter can go before local authority planners.

Neighbours around the site claim rules are being ignored as extra caravans and hardcore are still being moved on to the ?eld.

On Monday Fylde Council bosses voted in favour of pursuing travellers for allegedly breaching the rules of the injunction.

A Fylde Council spokesman said: "At Fylde's development control committee meeting, members agreed to go back to court to enforce the terms of their injunction.

"It has been alleged the travellers have brought another caravan on to the site, which is larger than was originally agreed and they have also brought hardcore which is used to create hard standings for the caravans and paths."
