Fundraising events for hit and run victim
TWO fundraising events are being held for a Poulton man who is seriously ill in Thailand.
Ryan Neal, 23, of Holts Lane, Poulton, has been in intensive care in hospital since April 5, when he was the victim of a hit and run accident.
At the weekend, Brian Rose, Blackpool's undefeated light middleweight boxing sensation, collected for his childhood pal Ryan at his fight in Wigan.
And next Saturday, Ryan's former snooker partner, Warren Stephenson, is taking up his cue at Rileys in Blackpool town centre for a 24-hour "snooker-thon".
Brian moved to Blackpool from Birmingham as a child and Ryan, whose parents live in Poulton, was his first friend.
Ryan opened his eyes recently, but his family and friends are desperate for him to fully regain consciousness and he remains in a serious condition.
