BUSINESSES in Poulton are counting the costs after the huge blaze which ripped through their premises last week.
But bosses at the affected firms say it's business as usual.

Fire ravaged three businesses in Wyrefields on Poulton Business Park in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The fire started inside fuels company Malcolm McCullough & Son and quickly spread to neighbouring Sk Publications and Planet Print.

More than 50 firefighters tackled the inferno which caused highly dangerous gas canisters to explode, firing debris into the sky.

Officials from he Environment Agency were drafted in following fears of contamination of nearby farmland and water supply.

Ian Garrod, incident commander, said: "This was a very intense blaze which had the potential to spread to more units and engulf a lot more businesses."
