Ryan Wilkinson has a better CV than some actors manage in a lifetime.

Which, considering the Fylde coast lad is 12, isn’t bad going.

Despite only just starting secondary school – Cardinal Allen in Fleetwood – Ryan can already boast roles in TV shows like Doctors, In The Flesh (co-starring Ricky Tomlinson), Shameless, and the Secret of Crickley Hall.

“I am just like any other child – acting is just something I do for fun and I try not to mention it at school because I don’t want to make it seem as though I’m showing off,” he said.

“I’ve always liked entertaining people. When I was three I was with my family queueing to get on a plane at an airport and I jumped on a window sill and started singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

“People crowded around and were clapping, though my dad was dead embarrassed.

“So I think I’ve always been one for acting.”

Ryan, who lives on Shakespeare Road and attends Scream Theatre School, is about to appear in his first lead TV role.

He is playing the part of Charlie in a new children’s programme called All At Sea, a 13-part series filmed in Scarborough about a lad whose family relocate from London to the coast. The first episode goes out on CBBC on September 25.
