Around 1,000 people turned out to celebrate their community during a special fun day.

Saturday was all about celebrating West View estate in Fleetwood for residents, who enjoyed face painting, family games and a free raffle, thanks to funding from Regenda housing association, the police and the Royal British Legion.

Regenda neighbourhood officer Win Redhead helped organise the event.

She said: “The whole day was fantastic, really just absolutely lovely.

“We just wanted to do something in the community to bring everyone together, and we had this free day for all the families to come along and spend time with their children. What was really nice was that everybody came, and they stayed for the afternoon.”
