VIDEO: Body found in search for missing windsurfer
Police confirmed the body of Giles Stothert, from Saltcote, Glasson Dock, was found on Middleton Sands at Morecambe.
The 61-year-old failed to return to shore after going missing in foggy conditions at the mouth of the River Lune close to Glasson Dock, Lancashire, on Sunday.

Hide AdAt 4.30pm yesterday a group of windsurfers called the Coastguard to report a man had failed to return to shore and had disappeared in foggy conditions at the mouth of the River Lune close to Glasson Dock near Lancaster.
Four RNLI lifeboats from Morecambe and Fleetwood launched and started to search the sea and shoreline along with Coastguard rescue teams.
Due to the state of the tide and the weather conditions the search area was expanded at 7pm to include the Blackpool coastline.
All three of Blackpool’s RNLI inshore lifeboats launched and conducted an extensive search of the sea and shoreline from South Shore to Rossall Point.

Hide AdThe police helicopter was also called as Blackpool and Fleetwood RNLI volunteers continued to search alongside the Coastguard until the early hours of Monday morning.
No-one was found and the search was suspended at 3.30am today, but restarted again at low tide this morning.
