The family of a motorcyclist who died after his bike was in collision with a car in Fleetwood said he “will always be in their hearts”.
Father-of-three Simon Duxbury, 48, was riding a Suzuki motorbike when it was in collision with a Jaguar X-Type on the A585 Amounderness Way in Fleetwood, between the Nautical College and Morrison’s supermarket.
In a statement released by Lancashire Police, Mr Duxbury’s family said: “Simon was 48-years-old, a beloved husband, son and brother, loving father to his three precious children and three beautiful grandchildren, taken from us suddenly and too soon, words cannot describe our loss.
“He will always be in our hearts forever.”
The driver of the car suffered minor injuries and was treated for shock after accident at 1.30pm on Friday.
Officers are still appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
Sgt Dave Hogarth, of the Road Policing Unit, said; “This is a tragic incident where a man has sadly lost his life.
“I would like to thank those who tended to both the motorcyclist and the driver of the car prior to the arrival of the paramedics.
“I would appeal for anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to get in touch with police.”
