Town celebrates end of season with a day of fun

The Cod Army welcomed a legion of fans onto the pitch to celebrate at an end of season family fun day.

Hundreds of children and families visited Fleetwood Town Football Club’s Highbury Stadium on Saturday to take part in sports, games, hear live music and take a tour of the ground.

The event kicked off with a FTFC Juniors five-a-side tournament from 10am to 2pm, with young players aged from six to 12 taking on local ‘rivals’.

Later the football pitch used for League One matches hosted a range of other tournaments, including inflatable games and mini golf.

And live music went on from 3pm, with bands The Jeps, Bob On, Flip, Monster Squad and The Atmospherics.
