Nominations have opened for the 24th annual Lord Ferrers Awards, to celebrate police volunteers.

Lancashire Police has more than 2,000, and last year had 18-year-old cadet Mateusz Strzeszewski shortlisted.

Police minister Nick Hurd said: “Special constables, police support volunteers and volunteer police cadets make a selfless contribution.”
