Tributes paid following councillor's death
TRIBUTES have been paid to a Wyre councillor who has died after a period of ill health.
Wyre councillor and Lancashire county councillor Keith Tebbs, 67, of Norfolk Avenue, Cleveleys, had served on both authorities for eight years.
The father-of-two, a retired manager of the Yorkshire Bank in Blackpool, leaves his wife of 37 years, Jackie, 59, and two daughters Victoria, 29, and Lesley, 26.
The former St Joseph's College student had lived in the area for nearly 60 years.
He died on Monday night following a period of ill health.
Coun Russell Forsyth, leader of Wyre Council, said: "Keith had the people of Wyre in general, and Cleveleys in particular, in his heart. He was a great asset to the council and he will be sadly missed."
Mrs Tebbs said: "He was a lovely, family man, but also cared for others."
