Frog's top of the dogs

FLEETWOOD'S own Frog the Dog has launched a Christmas tune.

Frog, who stars in his own collection of children’s books, has joined forces with the Bluebird Recording Studio in St Annes.

Helen McGlasson, creator of Frog the Dog said: “Bluebird Studios and Frog the Dog are both working hard to raise their profiles, and this song for kids is just so much fun, we really hope it will get us noticed.

"The video is great fun, small children are mesmerised by it – it even stops temper tantrums!

“The song has everything that kids love – a catchy tune, a chorus, and some actions, but it makes grown-ups smile, too, which is always welcome these days,” added Helen.

Frog the Dog recently became a local supplier to seven ASDA stores in the area, and the song release is part of the plan to bring Frog to a much wider audience.

The manager of Bluebird Studios, Chris Carter first met Helen and Frog when they recorded their It's Frogtastic! CD with Blackpool Fylde and Wyre Blind Society.

Chris wrote an original piece of music for Frog's website which has now been developed into the pop song with lyrics written by Helen.

"It was a challenge I gladly accepted,” said Chris. "I am especially keen to offer my compositional skills to children's publishers.”

The Frog Blog Dog Log Song! is available from.voeveo.com and the video can be seen on www.youtube.com/frogthedog1

Local singer Becky Hoyle is on lead vocals, with Zanny Carter and Helen on backing. Children from the Michael Hall Theatre School sing the chorus.
