A coffee morning to raise money for the charity which has helped nurse a Fleetwood toddler suffering leukaemia, takes place at the end of the month.
Little Caleb McKenna has spent just over a year battling the disease and now his mum, Louise, is hosting the special event for the Macmillan Charity.
It’s part of the charity’s biggest coffee morning in the world event and takes place on Friday, September 27 from 10.30pm to noon alongside Creepy Crawlies - the toddler play session at Fleetwood Leisure Centre.
Louise, 30, of Preston Street, said: “I just want to give something back. They have been just fantastic and it’s about raising awareness too.”
As well as plenty of coffee and tea, Louise and a team of helpers will be selling cakes, hosting a body shop stall, a raffle, tombola and face painting with a sweetie bag.
Caleb was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in August last year after several bouts of tonsillitis and recurring infections.
“My life changed overnight. It’s the hardest thing that has ever happened to me,” added Louise.
