A MAN has appeared in court charged with opening fire on a Fylde coast home.

Brad Goldbourn, 38, of Coleridge Avenue, Anchorsholme, has been charged with possessing a shotgun with intent to cause fear of violence and section 47 assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Goldbourn was arrested on Sunday morning after a man was injured at a home in Rockville Avenue, Anchorsholme.

Police said a man fired three shots at the house at around 4.50am on Sunday before fleeing the scene in a car.

The home’s two occupants, a man and a woman, were inside the property as the front door and a bathroom window were allegedly hit by gunfire.

The man sustained an arm injury from shards of glass.

Goldbourn was remanded in custody and appeared before Blackpool Magistrates Court.

Police are continuing to appeal for information about the incident.

Det Insp Tony Baxter, leading the investigation for Lancashire Police, said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the offence to come forward if they have any information they think could help with our inquiries.”
