The launch of a new pharmacy has brought with it six new jobs.

LloydsPharmacy, in Victoria Road East, Thornton, officially opened its doors on Thursday thanks to two of the village’s residents, Irene and Ron Rhodes, pictured.

The manager of the new venue, Christina Webster, has promised a fresh approach to pharmaceutical care.

She said: “Our dedicated and experienced team is supporting residents’ healthcare needs by providing services that complement GPs and other healthcare professionals by offering convenient, one-to-one support in pleasant, modern surroundings.”
