The Blackpool and North Fylde Model Railway Club meets on Monday evenings in Carleton where it’s members offer a wide variety of modelling and expertise.

Areas include woodwork, wiring, track laying and scenic modelling. Blackpool and North Fylde Model Railway club co-ordinator Alan Hawkins said: “It was a great busy weekend, an estimate of around 500 visitors over the weekend, with the brilliant weather helping out.

“Visitors enjoyed the show and we had a number of layouts on show of different varieties to cater for the casual visitors through to model railway enthusiasts.

“There was also lots of action, trains running and all sorts of elements for the children to interact with which creates a real balance for everyone’s interests within the model train industry.”
