A Fleetwood man had more reasons than most to celebrate Everton’s incredible comeback against West Brom.

That’s because Romelu Lukaku’s 84th minute winner sealed an incredible £45,865.05 win Kyle Jordan, 30.

I was watching the game with my mate and my girlfriend and as Everton went 2-0 down, I thought that was it

The oil and gas worker, said: “I was watching the game with my mate and my girlfriend and as Everton went 2-0 down, I thought that was it. Once Kone’s goal went in, that’s when I started to get a bit sweaty.”

After 60 minutes Everton found themselves two goals down at which point it looked as though Kyle had made a mistake in not cashing out his bet before kick off with £4,100 on offer.

He had already correctly predicted the outcome of five matches and was waiting for Everton to win a match in which both sides scored at 9/2.

Kyle said: “A couple of my friends have cashed out before and seen their bets go on to win so the thought never crossed my mind.”

On the moment that Lukaku scored to seal the 9,172/1 win Kyle said: “I was still a bit nervous but when the final whistle went we all started jumping around the room. Lukaku is definitely going into my fantasy football team now.”

Mr Jordan is off to work on the rigs on Friday for two weeks so has not got too much time to spend his money, however he does plan to take his partner and two children to America with some of his winnings.

William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said: “This is an incredible winning bet.”

The winning bet: Liverpool to beat Aston Villa and both teams to score - 5/2; Everton to beat West Brom and both teams to score - 9/2; Reading to beat Burnley and both teams to score - 5/1; Cardiff to beat Charlton and both teams to score - 17/5; Bury to beat Coventry and both teams to score - 15/4; Sheffield United to beat Doncaster and both teams to score - 14/5.

The £5 bet wins £45,865.05 at odds of 9172/1.
