Fleetwood Carnival is just five weeks away and organisers say float entrants need to start planning ahead.

The big event takes place on Saturday June 21 and remains one of the biggest spectacles in Fleetwood’s calendar.

A key highlight of the event is the parade, which starts on Fleetwood seafront and snakes its way back, via Lord Street,

In recent years, organisers have been pleased with the number of float entries. Now, with the event being just on the horizon, they are reminding local folk to start
preparations.

Vicky Robinson, of Fleetwood Carnival Committee, said: “Carnival Day is almost here and people who want to get involved should not leave it too late. If they contact me, I can sort out all the forms for them.”

Once again this year, there will be a family fun event after the parade, with a number of attractions.

It will also be a big day for Fleetwood Carnival Queen-elect, Jessica Hover, 12, who will be crowned on the day. She will be joined by four princesses – Molly Cox, Alysa Steel, Jenna Bailey and Charlotte Kennedy.

entry forms, phone Vicky on 07712615930.
