CLEVELEYS has a festive glow following its Christmas lights switch-on.
Around 100 people turned out on Victoria Road West for the event which included a carol service on the seafront.
Pupils from Northfold, Manor Beach and St Teresa’s primary schools led the ceremony.
Organisers, including Coun Andrea Kay, gave the festivities a modern twist by holding a glow stick procession, rather than traditional candles, through the town centre.
Each glow stick symbolised a person who had died in that year. And Rev Michael Payne dedicated a remembrance tree in a special short service. A dedication book was also signed.
