The family of a man killed in a collision on Yeadon Way in Blackpool have paid tribute to him.
Peter Dodd, 50, of Ribble Road, central Blackpool, died in hospital following the collision on Wednesday.
He leaves a 15-year-old son, his mother and his brother.
In a statement, his family said: “He will be sadly missed and his untimely death has come as a complete shock to the family and numerous friends. “Peter has lived in the Blackpool and Fleetwood area since 1979, working in the security industry in Blackpool and Liverpool, more recently serving court papers and legal paperwork for local solicitors.
“Peter was a keen sportsman, enjoying swimming and heavily involved in rugby on the Fylde coast, he played for Fleetwood Rugby Club for many years, coached various age groups and assisted with training camps.
“Peter was also an animal lover, helping his parents with abandoned and rescue dogs for many years.”
