DETECTIVES investigating an assault in Fleetwood have released an image of a man they would like to speak to.

The incident occurred around 3.45am on Sunday November 18, when a teenager walking along Lord Street was approached by two men, near to Warrenhurst Road.

In an unprovoked attack, the men hit the teenager in the head causing him to fall to the ground, before demanding money from him.

At this point a third man intervened allowing the victim to make his escape.

The 18-year-old, who is from Fleetwood, was treated at Blackpool Victoria Hospital for a suspected fractured jaw.

Police have now released an Evofit of a man they would like to speak to in connection with this investigation.

Det Sgt Kevin Wright said: “If anybody recognises the man in the Evofit then I would ask them to contact police.

“We have also previously appealed to the “good Samaritan” to come forward or anybody who knows him to contact us and I would like to reiterate this appeal.

“If anybody has any information at all about this assault please come forward.”
