NOW here’s a school full of good sports.

Breck Primary in Poulton has been crowned Spar Sport School of the Year for Wyre.

The award from Spar, sponsors of the Lancashire Youth Games, recognises the Fouldrey Avenue school’s commitment to sport and was presented this week.

Lee Cadwallader, from the Lancashire Sport Partnership, presented the trophy.

Breck’s prize also includes sports kit/equipment from Surridge Sport.

Headteacher Janet Wood said: “We see sport and a means of raising standards across the board and we have been very proactive about supporting the Sport in School initiative.”
