GIRL guides, flower queens and drummers are preparing for this year’s Poulton Gala.
The popular annual event will take place over the weekend of Saturday June 4 with a town centre parade.
Earlier this year the future of the gala looked bleak as organisers cancelled the event siting a lack of volunteers and red tape as reasons.
But a new gala committee has stepped in to save the day and last minute preparations are under way.
This year locals can expect the crowning of the Poulton Gala Queen, Rebecca Ashworth, attended by Hannah Clayton and Jessica Brewer, all from Poulton St Chad’s Primary School.
Stalls and entertainment will be available throughout the day in The Square and at The Market Hall.
And a Photography and Art Exhibitions by Poulton Photographic Society will be held in the Masonic Hall for one week from Friday June 3 to Saturday June 11 followed by a classic and vintage car event on Sunday June 5.
