People with dementia and their carers are invited to the annual Dancing With Dementia event next month.

The afternoon of ballroom dancing, music and dementia-friendly activities, with refreshments including afternoon tea, takes place on Wednesday, June 14, at the Winter Gardens’ Empress Ballroom.

As always, we hope that people living with dementia, as well as families and carers can take advantage of the range of support services available at this event

Entertainment will be provided by the mighty Wurlitzer organ, plus professional displays of Latin and ballroom dancing, a choir, free raffle and much more.

Information will be available on the day about dementia services and support as well as details on how to become part of the official Dementia Friends campaign.

Dr Arif Rajpura, Blackpool Council’s director of public health said: “As always, we hope that people living with dementia, as well as families and carers can take advantage of the range of support services available at this event.

“From navigating health and social care to accessing local information, it’s important that people know how to
access the appropriate support.”
