A POPULAR guided walk to Wyre Light lighthouse has been scheduled to return.

The mid-summer’s trek organised and run by Fleetwood lifeboat crew with the help of Fleetwood Coastguard and Fleetwood Nautical College, is a four-mile walk across flat sands out to Wyre Light and back.

More than 1,000 people completed the walk last year, and with a similar number expected for this year’s event on Saturday, June 18, people are being urged to sign up in advance to enable the walk to leave on time.

The walk will begin from the beach behind the Marine Hall, Fleetwood, at approximately 6.45pm.

Walkers can start gathering at the start from 6.15pm. A registration form is available at http://www.fleetwood-lifeboat.org/walk6.pdf
