Two women were reportedly assaulted at the Golden Star, on Lord Street, and an investigation has since been launched to identify the attacker.

Police said one of the victims was a 48-year-old woman who was punched in the face. It is alleged she was assaulted after getting into an argument with another woman inside the takeaway.

Police were unable to provide details of the second alleged assault.

Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to the two people pictured above, as well as a second man wearing a pink or red T-shirt who was seen with them inside the takeaway.
