Man loses teeth in Poulton attack

Poulton Police are appealing for information after a reveller was punched in the face on a night out and lost teeth.

Officers said the victim was attacked as he queued for a taxi home after an evening in the town at Poulton Cabs taxi rank on Blackpool Old Road.

One of the customers in the queue verbally challenged the man before punching him in the face cutting his lip and knocking out three of his teeth.

After the altercation, the offender then got into a taxi and left the scene.

The incident took place around 10pm on December 20 but police have just released details of the incident.

Officers are now appealing for help to identify a man who was caught on CCTV around the time of the incident.

PC Andrea Banks, of Poulton Police, said: “I would appeal to anybody that recognises this man or to anyone who witnessed what happened to contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
