SUSPECTED amphetamine paste worth £3,000 along with cash was seized by police after a raid in Fleetwood.

Officers executed a search warrant at the address of a shop on Lord Street, Fleetwood, on Friday morning after receiving information from members of the public.

The paste, and other drugs related paraphernalia, were found inside.

A 42-year-old man from Cleveleys was arrested on suspicion of possessing amphetamine with intent to supply and was taken to Fleetwood Police Station for questioning by officers.

He has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries into the matter.

Detective Sergeant Fraser Earnshaw (pictured), from Fleetwood’s crime targeting team, said it was important that police continue to wage war on the drug trade and focus on getting them off the Fylde coast streets.

He added: “Drugs blight our communities.

“This raid has resulted in a substantial amount of amphetamine from making its way on to our streets.”
