POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary at a Fleetwood hair salon last month in which more than £4,000 of stock was stolen.

The burglary took place at Rory Blair Hair Salon on Lord Street between December 1 and 4 when someone broke in through the rear of the salon via a wooden gate and window.

The thief stole 12 gift wrapped GHD hair straighteners in addition to nine sets of salon use GHD hair straighteners, several pairs of scissors and a heated roller machine.

The till drawer was also taken which contained around £50.

PC Helen Thompson from Fleetwood Police said: “This offence had had a devastating impact on the salon and I would appeal to anybody with any information about this burglary to contact police on 101.

“In particular I’d like to hear from anybody in the area that has bought or received GHD straighteners in Christmas boxes or has been offered any expensive scissors for sale.”

People with information can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
