A couple have made a fresh appeal to the thieves who took their beloved pet dog to return him.

Thieves ransacked the home of Marc Rose, 26, and Jade Earley, 24, of Tudor Close, Carleton, two weeks ago, while the couple were at work, and stole their dachshund puppy, Richie. The four-month-old, £900 puppy has still not been found, despite more than 2,000 people liking a Facebook page dedicated to him, and the couple taking time off to put posters up and appeal for information.

Mr Rose said: “I’m not bothered where he is, just leave him outside a pub or tie him up – someone will take him in and return him to us.”

Call police on 101 with any information.

A 45-year-old man from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal and has been bailed until May 1.
