The Willow Garden Project is calling for local support to help it secure a £50,000 cash prize.

The project, based at Fleetwood Cricket Club, is a contender for Granada Report’s The People’s Millions in which viewers vote between two charities to win the prize.

Pamela Laird, who helps to run the project said: “Because it is a public vote we are wanting to gain as much local support as possible.

“We are aiming high and we are wanting to win. The project is in desperate need of these funds simply to keep the doors open.”

Willow Garden Project will be featured on the Granada evening news on Tuesday November 25.

A short film will be shown about the project and viewers will then be asked to choose between Willow Gardens and another selected North West charity. The Willow Garden Project is a community garden for adults with disabilities and mental health problems. For more details visit facebook.com/thewillowgardenproject.
