Members of the public are being asked for their ideas about plans to turn The Mount Methodist church in Fleetwood into a cultural arts hub.

A public meeting is being staged tomorrow (Thursday) by Fleetwood Plus Community Interest Company, which is proposing to buy the Mount Methodist Church.

Exciting ideas include the creation of a two-week festival of music and theatre, and an event similar to Lytham Proms, with established artists and the best of new raw talent.

To help people find out more and contribute their own ideas, chief co-ordinator George Greenall is holding a meeting at Fleetwood Library this Thursday from 6 to 8pm.

He is advising people to book places in
advance, as the maximum capacity is for just 70 people.

George said: “This will be a brain-storming session, exchanging ideas about the sort of things we can do to revive Fleetwood and even help regenerate the town.”

To attend the meeting, contact George on (01253) 825206 or email: info@fleetwoodplustv.co.uk.
