A budding military serviceman from Fleetwood has received a trophy at an awards ceremony.
Haidan Hughes, 17, was given recognition at the event hosted by Training 2000, the largest group training association in England.
Haidan was awarded the ‘Fittest Student’ trophy at the annual military awards event at Blackpool Boys & Girls Club. The awards acknowledge learners aged between 16 and 19 for their achievements in training.
Training 2000’s Military Preparation Programme helps young men and women kick-start their military careers. With training delivered from ex-serving military personnel and regular contact with recruiters, many of these candidates secure a job within the Armed Forces.
Haidan said: “I am really proud to have been given this award.
“I find this training course really interesting and useful while it’s also helped me to keep my fitness levels up.”
Training 2000’s Andrew Emmett said: “These award ceremonies are a great way to recognise achievements.”
